If the sky fell down
And the moon went out
I’d just be
A few feet away from you
(Repeat)
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Sometimes
You know they stare
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Oh just tell them
Who I am
Go for a walk
And we’ll sit by the rock
I’ll just be
A few feet away from you
Repeat
Sometimes
You know they wonder
You know they stare
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Well just tell them
Who I am
If the sky fell down
And the moon went out
I’ll just be
A few feet away from you
Repeat
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Sometimes
You know they stare
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Tell them who I am
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Sometimes
You know they stare
Sometimes you know they wonder
Tell them
Who I am
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Sometimes
You know they stare
Sometimes
You know they wonder
Oh, just tell them
Who I am

Thank you.
When I was a little girl, I remember a period of time when I was the recipient of racial cruelty. I remembering wishing my mother would not come up to my school so that the other kids wouldn't have any more reason to harrass me. Thankfully I never said it to her, but I am ashamed nonetheless.
